Chapter 79

(Emily's POV)

I woke up and find myself lying on the bed in a bedroom. They move me without asking me up. That's odd.

It's quite dark outside, anytime soon, someone will bring me dinner.

I can hear the music from the other room. It's a relief to know I'm still in a mansion and haven't been taken far away while I was out unconscious.

With a groan, I stand up and glance around me.

I'm in one of the guestrooms. There's a bed and a dressing table, and everything is decorated with lace and frills.

Then I remember what happened. From Cleo, Amanda, Amy, and meeting for the first time my brother-in-law Delimer DiFronzo. Didn't know that I would meet him in this way. His way of welcoming me.
