CHAPTER 24 SYDNEY DAY

It was eleven o'clock in the morning, and the crew gangway was open for anyone who wanted to go out and contact their family. Annika is in line with the other crew members who must present their shore tickets in order to go out. Captain Magnus is seen leaving the ship and being picked up by a vehicle offshore from where she is standing. "It'd be great if I could join him in that automobile!" she thought.

She needs to walk from the wharf to the city center since taxis are quite costly and she doesn't know how to take a bus in Sydney.

When she reached the city center, the first thing she did was buy a calling card so she could call her mother back home, "Hello Mom! "It's me, Annika. How are you doing? " Her mother, who was relieved to hear her voice, checked her. "Annika, I am good. I am so happy you called me today. I received all your letters about how all these mean girls are trying to destroy you. "Do not let anyone hurt you; do you understand?" was her way of protecting her.
