It's been three days when Erella heard from Flynn about the thousand-year ginseng. She didn't tell Aunt Camille and Max about it yet because they were so busy. Yesterday, Max just received a letter from his majesty that indicates he will approve his engagement with Erella after the royal ball. So Max and Aunt Camille excitedly decided to celebrate their engagement a week after the ball she will attend.
'Geez! Why the heck do we need approval from the king before we will get engaged officially? That is absurd! He is not our family or relatives!' Erella thought rolling her eyes. She thought after she got the approval from her stepmother, they were already engaged. And people in the empire will just recognize them as an official couple after they will celebrate their engagement. But she thought wrong. In this world, those high-ranking nobles need to ask approval from the king first before they are officially engaged.
