🌿Heidi’s POV 🌿

I stared back at Lucas, and the look in his eyes could not be explained.

“Since when?” He finally asked.

“Yesterday. Do you have a problem with that?” I gathered the courage to ask.

Lucas looked at me, smiled and shook his head. “No. Actually, I’m happy for you. Okay? I will be going back now. With my lunch.” I watched Lucas pick up the plastic bag, glanced at Nate before storming out of the class.

I shrugged, looked at Nate. “He doesn’t like you very much…I guess that’s why he’s grumpy.” I said and checked my own words too.

I didn’t know if it was just as I said it or perhaps, something else was wrong.

“Who cares? I don’t like him either. Come on, let’s eat.” Nate said, and started bringing out the contents of his own bag.

🌿 Lucas’s POV 🌿

I felt like I had been stabbed hard in the chest as I walked back to my class.

I sat on a bench in the corridor, thinking about what I just heard.

Were they really going out?, How could Heidi date a bully and miscrean
