36.2 REMEMBER IT THE SAME WAY 2

It was when we were thirteen that things really went to shit.

By then, Alisa and I were in high school, and that’s where we became close to Colin. Oh, we knew each other, of course—our parents go to the same parties, and mingle with the same people. Anyway, the Prince was in our class, and he’s just way too easy to like. The three of us were inseparable.

Until Marcus transferred to our school in the middle of the year. I was so sure that’s against school policy, but the kid was from a branch family of the Vegas, even if he was adopted. They would have let him in even if he wanted to enroll on the last month before the end of term.

So, Marcus, of course, stuck to Alisa like glue. He would be with her, everywhere, all the time. I totally expected him to act that way and I didn’t like it, but there was nothing we could do.
