Mia pov

I stood watching mates find each other when I smell him and my heart stops. My mate is here but he is with his boyfriend. My heart feels broken as I watch his eyes widen as he takes me in.

This can not be happening right now. I back away and run trying to get home so I can leave. He won't leave his boyfriend I know this but it still hurts. I waited my whole life for a mate only to find he is taken already. Tears blur my vision and I fall skinning my knees as I escape. I feel hands on me and freak out trying to fight them off. Tingles fill my skin and I know my mate chased me.

"calm down",he speaks but his voice sounds strained.

"get away from me!",I shriek.

"we need to talk",he tries to pull me up but I resist. Derek Liam is soon to be Alpha and extremely gorgeous but he has a boyfriend and everyone knows they are together. They both flaunt their relationship everywhere. Everyone also knows his boyfriend has a mate Jennifer and she is a mess dealing with their relationship.
