64. Burning Pie II

In a split second, he strikes, grabbing my wrist, and his gaze locks onto mine as he twists it, disarming me. The knife clatters to the floor and in that moment, I realize I’ve only managed to excite him. How can I get to him in the same way that he did me? How can I hurt him too and make him feel as helpless as I did in those moments where I’d walked through the hallway with people staring at me and hiding their laughter?

Anger builds and I aim a kick for his side. He lets go of my hand and sidesteps like I’m a stupid child throwing a tantrum. “You’re a bloody psycho for doing that to me.”

His smile turns ominous, a dangerous fire lighting up his gaze. “I see, you learned nothing from that.”

Goddess, I want nothing more than to snatch that grin off his face. I lunge for him with my fist and he ducks effortlessly. Another has my fist ramming into the high cupboard and the wood splinters. I pull back and try again, and every time he ducks, I break something in the kitchen.
