Isadora pov

My footsteps echoed softly in the empty corridor as I approached Eamon's ward. It had been a few days since I was admitted to the pack hospital, and my strength had returned faster than I'd expected. The doctors had been pleased with my progress, but my thoughts had never strayed far from Eamon's side.

As I entered the room, a wave of emotions washed over me. Eamon lay there, his eyes closed, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. The machines surrounding him hummed with life, beeping and monitoring every aspect of his condition. I couldn't help but feel a sense of helplessness, seeing him like this.

I walked to his bedside, the tension in the room palpable. The atmosphere was heavy with the weight of uncertainty, and I wasn't sure how to process all that had transpired between us. Despite everything, he was still my mate, the Alpha of our pack, and I couldn't deny the complex mix of emotions that swirled within me.
