CHAPTER TEN: Venue

“Please take at least one bite.” I waved a piece of bread on his face but he remained still, crouching on the table with eyes closed.

I pinched a piece of fried fish and waved it again but he didn’t budge. I poured tap water on a plastic bottle and extended it toward his mouth but still I received no reaction.

“Don’t worry he won’t die– amm... he’s not alive nor dead in the first place.” Gugu scratched her head and awkwardly exited when I glared at her.

I put everything aside and picked up Grip. I liftef him and stared at his eyes. “Tell me, Grip. What do you want to eat–”

I closed my eyes in frustration as a warm sticky tongue licks my face.

“You...” Gugu whispered in my ears echoing like those in cartoon horror movies.

“Grip!” I put him away and wiped my face with the back of my hand.

I received a message from Amanda. She chatted me that the program is about to start at any minute now. I threw everything away and carried Grip as carefully as I could.
