Chapter 19 Being A Receptionist

He brushed over the thing casually, without asking if I was in pain or tired or what I wanted to eat. After I finished the porridge, he took the bowl and went to the kitchen.

I followed him to the kitchen. "My parents have arranged a job for me."

His hand stopped in the air, so I hurriedly said, "But I haven't agreed yet. I want to hear your opinion first."

He turned around. "My opinion? Why? Didn't we already discuss it?"

"What did we discuss?"

"To intern here."

My lips parted. But before I could say anything, he turned away impatiently and continued washing the dishes.

"I don't get it. What on earth are you thinking every day? After I managed to arrange jobs for us, you just claimed to leave. Fine, just go if you want. Then we'll break up and never see each other again."

I was stunned. "You found an internship company already? What kind of work is it?"

"It's none of your business. Anyway, you're leaving. I don't need your concern."
