"Michael, it's been 3 years; did you really feel nothing?" Xavier asked no one in particular. He was now alone in his big office, and his intense emotions were raw and revealed on his face. He furrowed his brows as he leaned back on the chair, stroking the smiling picture of the youngster.

Xavier sighed as he attempted to put the frame back into its original position.

An incoming email notification popped up on his phone just as he returned the frame to its original position.

Seeing that the sender of the email was his assistant, Xavier opened and read the email in the inbox; the content says he has a meeting in an hour.

Xavier dropped his cell phone and ran a hand through his neatly styled black hair, giving it a somewhat messy look. Subsequently, he decided to return to working on his document.
