"He didn't return." Aetos stared at the big garden, his straight back turned to his office.

Even though today is the day Prothero's progress will be checked by Aetos, Prothero didn't return.

"Why did I hear he had been clinging to some young master of Grail State?" Aetos retorted and turned to the guard. His voice was sharp and cold, sending shivers down the guard's spine.

The guard's calm expression cracked, and his face paled immediately. He never expected that he'd be caught lying by Don.
