Would you hate me if I'm not straight?

“What's your answer?” Ethan questioned, and the air in the library felt tense, immediately.

Hayden looked at his fingers for a minute as if he were studying them. His heartbeat was racing. He bit his lips as he tried to say the word out. Without looking at his father, unwilling to look at his father's expression, Hayden answered. “Zenos.”

Suddenly, he felt his father's gaze land on him, he mustered up the courage and raised his head to look at his father and on his father's face there appears to be a trace of sadness. Hayden's heart can't help but skip a beat. “But, Father, why are you looking at me like that?” He asked, trying to stay calm. “Would you hate me if I'm not straight?”

Ethan's expression turned back to normal when he heard his son's words. He never expected Hayden to be afraid of them being annoyed by his sexuality. “It's not that, son,” Ethan replied with a comforting smile. “I'm fine with your sexuality, I just want you to know that the road you're trailing…” Ethan
