"THAT'S IT?"

"What?"

Parie crossed her arms and raise an eyebrow at Alesteria while she was drying her wet hair, which means she had recently taken a bath.

After dinner, the quiet didn't last long as Parie began to interrogate her about what she and Kairo has talked about, and knowing Parie, she won't stop pestering Alesteria until she gets what she wants.

"After all these years, not to mention before you left the mountains, and all of that just ended with a simple conversation?"

Parie was enraged, not because she was upset, but because Kairo and Alesteria abruptly abandoned their friendship with a simple goodbye.

She has witnessed how the two freed each other from their respective responsibilities, but Parie failed to see that it also shackled them to each other rather than to be each other's comfort.

Still, Parie couldn't accept that they ended it that way.

"You've been together for years! Is it really okay to end it like this?"

Alesteria sighed and set the towel down, her h
