59. Telling the Truth

I couldn't wait to finish everything at the office and head back to Frida. The thought of her waiting for me back home fills me with thrills.

I can't wait to kiss her and embrace her again. Maybe we stay in bed and watch movies all night.

I slip the key into the lock and push the door open. I am surprised to find Frida standing in the middle of the room, tense and alert. She looks almost scared.

I figure out instantly that something is wrong. "What's happened?" I ask, stepping towards her.

"I just...I did something I shouldn't have done, but now I have questions," Frida says, her voice trembling.

I move closer to her, feeling the tension in the air thickening. "What did you do, Frida?" I ask, trying to keep my voice steady.

Her eyes meet mine and she takes a deep breath. "I went through your computer," she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. "I know it's wrong, and I'm sorry, but I found something that I need to ask you about."
