Chapter 59: Bewitched by the Witch

Lorcan’s heart tightened inside his chest as he watched Celia cry out uncontrollably. Celia burrowed her face in her palms as she sobbed her eyes out so that Lorcan would buy her story.

With Celia’s intense acting skills, how could Lorcan doubt Celia’s story? How could he also have the heart to question Celia’s words?

Lorcan felt bad for Celia. She must really have been so traumatized to the point that she is this severely affected by just telling him what had happened.

Lorcan could still remember what the pack doctor had said the day that she fainted after nearly drowning by the lake.

The pack doctor said that she did not faint because of what happened to her in the lake, but Celia fainted because of the emotional and mental burden caused by the trauma that the incident had incurred.

Lorcan had no idea that this was the trauma that Celia has been keeping to herself. She had no idea that Celia has been carrying this heavy burden all along.

I hate Celia why can’t lorcan see her for who she really is? He does not deserve Raven. I hope she rejects him and find somebody better.
