Lena’s Point of View

The signing in and swearing was done very fast and I had to be there as the fake head of council that I was, I smiled all through and acted like I was happy.

Dante suggested we head back home for lunch then get ready for the party. Fuck! I hated parties for the rich. It was no fun and I’ll have to stand all the time smiling and not have a proper dance on the dance floor. It had to be all elegant and sophisticated.

We got back home and Irene helped me out of my clothes.

“Irene, this dress was a little too tight. If you could pick a simpler dress for me for tonight's dinner party, I'd be happy about it.”

“I told you to let me help you pick your dress, I know what suits you so well and what would make you comfortable.”

“Yeah you do.”

I had expected the signing in to be long and filled with procedures but it wasn’t, it was just two men that exchanged some kind of paperwork in front of many people and after which they shook their hands.
