Chapter 60

Lena’s Point Of View

I couldn’t move.

The only thing I could do as I sat on the toilet was to stare at the marbled floor. I looked calm but my mind was everywhere, thinking about what has been happening these past few days. I wanted to scream out and cry in frustration, but I just had no strength to do that. It was like there were no tears left in my body.

I cleaned up myself after I was done using the toilet and washed my hands. Before I left, I sighted the bathtub at the other side of the room. I began to think of doing the craziest thing ever as I left the door ajar. Maybe if I do this, I’ll not feel the pain anymore, I’ll no longer have to bare everything.

“Maybe in the after life, I will be happy.”I thought to myself as I took a few steps closer to the bathtub. My body began to shiver in fear as I entered the tub, turning the faucet on.
