I am totally drenched in confusion. What is all this? For a Mayor in Vegas to call me shows that Sandra is not just a medical doctor but somebody important.

I wish she never visited if I knew that something like this would come up.

I think it was all my fault. That very day, I was supposed to visit her but the call I got from an unknown number was urgent because Michigan was in danger.

She had a minor accident but the way the news came, it sounded as if it was something big. I had to rush back to Los Angeles.

As much as I don't want to have anything to do with Michigan, I won't let her get hurt. She has been my friend and I am the only person she has now.

I kept pacing from one end of the office to another with my hands tucked inside my pockets.

I couldn't even touch the files on my table. Sandra's disappearance has done a lot to my mental state. I can't think straight anymore and that is why work piled up for me.

Still in the state of thoughts, my phone rang showing
