Chapter 19: Lentia

Alice returned, just in time to meet the servants carrying her luggage at the door. She let out a breath and fortunately came back in time, otherwise it would be too late.

Alice got out of the carriage, walked up to her mother and said:

"I'm sorry. Luckily, it arrived just in time. I thought we wouldn't leave until the afternoon."

Irene stroked Alice's head. She replied:

"It's okay Alice, I'm just making preparations in advance. When you come back, we'll leave at that time. So now, shall we go?!"

Alice and her mother got on the carriage again and headed to the northern front line. The journey from the Rothnor mansion to the army camp that was being held took more than a day. Alice's return was still quite early. With a little calculation, it could be reached by tomorrow evening.
