Lona's POV

Alpha King was in no hurry to investigate the enemy in human society. We were going to have to leave Pack House for a long time, so we had to prepare everything carefully. Alpha King needed to know some locations where the enemy was likely to be encountered as well as some information about the enemy in order for him to be sure of victory.

I helped Alpha King prepare his belongings and a few essentials for the long trip. The rest of the time, I trained hard to improve my defense. If Alpha King and I encountered bad guys and no one to protect and help us, I would not become your weakness.

I was sitting quietly reading a book when Alpha King came over and snatched the book from my hand.

“Is the book so interesting?” He looked at the book and then put it in its rightful place.
