Sophia’s POV.

I could see the look of embarrassment on Alpha Brandon’s face. He attempted to say a word but stopped halfway with his hand slapped on his forehead.

“I know you!”, Alpha Caleb exclaimed. They turned to his direction. He had a wide grin on his face. “I know Brandon could not have taken you. Surely, he might be the father of your child but not your mate. I am still your destined mate”.

Heating those words infuriated me. I had just publicly disgraced Brandon and now Alpha Caleb was worsening everything. I walked to where he was and glared at him.

“Can you stop it?”.

“Why would I?”, he was mocking me as he ran his hand through his hair and flipped it backward. “Since that is settled, I would suggest you tell your friend goodbye and cross over to this side of the gate. Let's go home”.

“I would never”. I spat out. “Do you think I have forgotten?”.
