Feeling guilty

"You’re expecting a child?," he said me and I had to swallow back the lump that had formed in my throat before nodding at him.

"What?" he exclaimed with wide eyes, still staring at me with disbelief.

At this point, I was already certain that I had made the worst mistake of my life. Maybe I shouldn't have told him.

I continued to panic within me as he wasn't saying anything else but just stare at me. I wished I could take back every words I have spoken and act like nothing happened.

"I'm sorry," I apologized. "I just thought the news would make you happy, I'm sorry," I apologized again with shaky hands.

Instead of reacting violently as I had expected, his finger moved under my chin, lifting my face back up to face him before leaning in to captured my lips in a kiss which left me feeling more confused then ever.
