I chuckle, she is fiery I will give her that. I’m a man who loves a good challenge, on the ice I’m competitive as hell and I always take any game on to win, and I am hell bent on getting Madison Lane on side. WTF? Did I really just think that? Only just a day ago she was the last person I wanted in my space. Intruding into my home, covering me 24/7 and fake dating but like I said, there are fates worse than this one.

Our driver pulls up to a stop. We’re outside the restaurant, with it’s gold lettering on a dark green bowed awning. It’s swanky. My manager makes a lot of money out of my ass, I wouldn’t expect anything less.

Already, I can see photographers outside and people. I groan. This is the worst part of being top of your game in NHL. Not just for me but my team too and of course anyone else who is in the spotlight whether it’s an artist or a sports person. This comes with the territory, but it can be draining.

“Let’s give them a show, Petal.” I say as I squeeze her hand.
