Seeking the prodigal son

Xavier finally arrived home from Las Vegas, he had run an errand after his day at the office because there was something he needed to take care of, shortly. His parents were in the sitting room when he walked in with his suit in hand.

“Xavier, are you okay?” his mom asked and stood up immediately, she looked worried.

Xavier smiled. “Yes Mom, did something happen?” he asked casually.

“What do you mean if something happened? You left for the office in the morning and you weren’t answering your calls, it is very late at night and yet you wonder why I am worried.” She scolded.

“Yeah, she had been taking it out on me for hours, I am glad that you are back to face her,” Mr. Michael joked from the sofa where he was busy watching the news on TV.

Xavier chuckled. “Mom, you should stop worrying about me all the time, I am not a child anymore.”

“Keep it shut, you are always going to be my child regardless of how old you grow,” she replied and the men burst into laughter.
