Chapter 82

Late at night, in the Hall of Herbs' backyard.

Sonya's crying could be heard from the bedroom. "Chad, you bastard!"

She wrapped her body in the quilt, her red, angry eyes fixed on Chad. She looked as if she wanted to kill someone.

The floor was strewn with ripped clothing and used toilet paper.

Chad stood shirtless to the side. He was sweating profusely but said nothing.

"Are you a man? How can I face anyone if this gets out?"

Sonya's nose soured, and she cried when Chad did not say a single word.

Chad then sat on the edge of the bed, which was unexpected. He said calmly as he lit a cigarette, "Hey, let's clarify things. You made it sound as if I did something to you."

"What are you saying? You—"

Sonya was not speaking clearly as she looked under the quilt and then at the blood-splattered toilet paper on the floor. She felt she was about to die.

"My aunt has crossed the line. This is nonsense." Chad complained as he started to get dressed. "I'll buy you some sanitary pads."
