Chapter 63 Not as Planned

Barnabas' appearance made Jean wary.

She glanced at the floor. It was obvious that whatever she had slipped on had been deliberately placed there.

There was no doubt in her mind that Barnabas was behind it.

"You—"

Barnabas reached out and covered Jean's mouth, stopping her from finishing.

"You want to get away from Tyler as soon as you can, right? This is the quickest way," he said in a low voice.

Jean furrowed her brows. It turned out that they were willing to injure her foot to help Joyce and her switch identities as soon as possible.

She clenched her teeth and glared at the man with resentment.

Outside the restroom, the bodyguards seemed to sense that something was off. The head of security said from outside, "Madam, are you alright?"

Barnabas glanced at her and warned, "I think you're clear on what to say now, right?"

After letting go of Jean, he hid inside one of the restroom stalls.

The head of security's voice rang out again. "Madam, can we come in?"
