Kabanata 41: Awake

Eliyah's POV

"I'm glad you're okay now."

Her voice was cold and calm. It was calm yet it sounds like a euphoric feeling that leads me to think that it was a dangerous one. She gave me a small smile but I know... it's not genuine. The sadness on her eyes was evident... that one look and you will immediately identify how sad her eyes were.

I didn't speak. I remained quiet while I continued observing her moves. She sighed deeply as her eyes went to Rex who was still lying on his bed, unconciously.

"I was once mad at you, you know." I gulped because of what Rex's mother has told me.

Nakatingin pa rin siya kay Rex habang sinasabi iyon. Ramdam ko ang lungkot sa kanyang presensya. And I know that it, somehow, reflects what I feel. And we have the same objective and wish, it is for Rex to finally wake up.

Hindi ko alam ang sasabihin ko kaya nanatili akong tahimik. Napalunok ako nang humakbang siya palapit sa akin. I thought she would go to me but when she passed by me, that was when I kne
