Alessia's POV

"Stefano, I don't understand what's happening." I acted like I am concerned. "I waited for you the whole day but you didn't come. I thought the whole plan was changed so I stayed here." My clueless tone added to the play better than I initially planned.

"Preposterous! You were there in the hidden room together with that servant girl and Mureles!" Natalia exploded in anger. Her face was contorted with anger, trying to throw some shade. Natalia is just digging her own grave. Anyone who is asked will think that he would prefer me to die.

I gave a confused expression. "Stefano? Can you explain to me what's going on?" I looked at Stefano and he immediately understood what I meant.

"I took you to the hidden room earlier, milady," Stefano answered and that's what I wanted to hear from him.

"See? You were there! I saw you died!" It was like winning the lottery because of Stefano's answer. He smiled, as opposed to being sad because he said I died.
