Alessia's POV

"MY grandfather was a teacher. S-he taught me." I don't know where I got this idea from but I have no choice but to make up a story that is not true. How can I say that I learned this by growing up because of school and the educational videos I watch?

I am too afraid to tell him the truth. What I saw in that room was like a big warning to me not to tell them the truth and to hide my true self.

"Really? I wish you had said it. You even tortured the dear king. He's more comfortable with the royal language than the commoners'," he said to me and I immediately understood what he meant. Elijah lived since God knows when and he is not Filipino so Tagalog is his mother tongue. It's too obvious what he looks like. He looks like somewhere from the east.

"B-but I prefer the common dialect," I answered him. I know the English word, but I can't speak English fluently.

There was no doubt in his eyes so I took a deep breath.
