Chapter 30

Alessia's POV

I looked around and couldn't see any place I could pass. The great eagle's nest rested on a large branch of a tree that grew on the cliff.

Sushi is still not back to its rightful state. All I know is that he is affected by the loss of the three necromancers, but I didn't think it would be like this, that he doesn't seem to feel anything around him.

I was surprised because I heard the sound of the eagle. I quickly stood up and the nest shook a bit so I felt nervous. I was holding Sushi who was delirious and I passed the two chicks who I knew would not bring me harm.

I have to get out of here before the eagle comes back. I quickly grabbed a branch sticking out of the nest and spun around to get out and step onto the branch. I kept my eyes up and didn't try to look down. I feel that the moment I do that, my fear will only increase.

I slowly crossed the branch and I could see the plain path in the gorge on the right side. I need to reach it to get away from the eagle's nest.
