48. Pay Attention

"Sean, are you seriously not worried about Veronica going to Korea this time?"

This morning, Deasy and Sean were indeed engaging in physical activities to make the most of their remaining two days of vacation. At a fitness center, they spent time doing cardio and various other small exercises.

"What do you think I should do, Des?"

"Well, you could call her. Prevent or try to do something about it, you know. So Veronica doesn't get closer to Darwin."

Instead of responding seriously to Deasy's statement, Sean chuckled softly. Just by looking at his face, it was evident that he was quite relaxed. There was no hint of concern whatsoever, unlike Deasy, who had been visibly anxious all this time.

"Des, I really love Veronica. But right now, I'm nobody to her. So, it's impossible for me to suddenly call and forbid her from doing things I don't like."
