Chapter 123 He Was Still Unable to Forget About Everly

The scenes on the streets receded constantly, and the shadows of the surrounding trees ran along Carson's face as he drove.

The pedestrians on the road were looking cheerful for some reason. However, it had not mattered to Carson, as if he was in his own world, out of tune with reality at the moment.

Carson was like a robot, mechanically controlling his Bendley with no emotions as it brought him back to the Baxter Residence.

Carson opened the door, turned on the light, walked into the hallway, and changed his shoes. His dark eyes were filled with melancholy and silence as he stared at the empty house.

"Sir!" said the butler as he came over.

"Is Oliver asleep?" Carson asked.

The butler smiled and nodded. "The young Sir was very obedient. He fell asleep after finishing his schoolwork."

"Mmm," Carson responded. He walked up to the second floor and opened Oliver's bedroom door. He looked inside, making sure that Oliver was asleep, and closed the door again.
