Startled, the syringe fell off from her hand. The noise seemed to have jolted Aiden up from his sleep. Bella was shaking from her head down to her legs.

Had he seen the syringe or not? She wondered. Fuck whoever it was that screamed outside.

"Get out!" Aiden's voice came out cold.

Without wasting time, she picked up the syringe and quickly hid it inside her clothes. She went out of his chambers, slamming the door shut behind her in anger.

Reality returned to her. What the hell had she done?

She had just had sex with her worst enemy. She had wasted her time and her body. This wasn't how she had planned for this to happen at all. She had allowed her emotions to sweep her away.

What a wasted effort! She thought sadly.

Few weeks later, she had just woken up and was preparing for work. As an administrator in crystal pack's revenue division, she had to go to work very early in the morning.

Her mind went to Aiden again. What does he even do as his work? That monster! They only work for him and feeds off everyone in the pack. She felt a surge of anger and deep resentment towards him again.

"Don't feel that way!" Lolita chided. "It's not like you didn't have a chance to kill him, but you chose to fuck him."

"Shut the hell up!" She shouted at her wolf. "Fucking bitch!" She swore.

She went over some documents she had brought home some days ago. Few moments later she was done with it and everywhere was now bright.

Rubbing at her stiff neck, she glanced at her watch. It was time for work. Work today wouldn't be stressful. She just knew. She had almost finished up all her assignments yesterday. She suddenly felt too lazy to go to work.

She had been feeling like this lately, always dizzy and weak. Maybe she overworked and overstressed herself. She should rest and go for checkups.

Bella sat down in her office some moments later, feeling bone- deep weary. After a short while, she lay her head on her desk and drifted off to sleep.

The trees cast long shadows over the winding dirt path, the only sound that was heard was the soft crunch of the her feet as she walked. It was a warm summer night, and she could feel the sweat on her brow. She knew she should be afraid, but for some reason she wasn't. She was going to see her parent after a very long time, so even anybody tries to harm her, she was ready to fight and kill such person.

She had been told earlier that her parents were having a meeting with the alpha, so she was heading towards the Alpha's castle. It was a long walk, and the journey had taken her hours, but she had reached the front gates. The guards standing there were massive, their faces hidden behind dark masks.

Suddenly, the guards all disappeared in a gust of wind, and she noticed a shadowy figure slowly walking towards her. She's terrified, but she can't move. She tried to but her feet remained glued to the ground.

As the figure gets closer, it begins to take shape. It's no longer a shadow------ it's now a person. And then, she realized slowly who it was.

She was the one--- but as a little girl. The child version of herself walked up to her and placed her small hands in Bella's hand. She then pointed with the other hand towards a particular direction.

"The house!" She said, her voice shaking with fear. "It's burning! Dad and mom are in there!!" She started weeping.

Bella looked in the direction of her hand, and didn't see anything. She turned to ask the little girl but the girl vanished like smoke. Then suddenly, she was standing outside a house, her parents house. The house was burnt and she watched unable to do anything. Her parents were nowhere to be seen.

She tried moving closer to the house but she couldn't move. "Somebody Help!" She screamed, but no one came to her rescue.

"Our house is burning!" She screamed again. No one still answered her.

She looked around but saw no one. She squeezed her eyes shut in frustration and when she opened it, she saw a shadowy figure standing at the edge of the property. The figure was watching the fire, but she couldn't see the person's face.

The figure turned and looked at her. She looked at the figure closely and noticed the person was wearing a long black raincoat. She was now sure that the person was a man now. What was he doing here? She wondered in fear. Was he going to kill her!?

The man smiled devilishly, revealing his slightly crooked teeth. "I killed them!" His voice came out in an ear piercing growl.

He started moving towards Bella in slow strides. "And I'm going to kill you now, so you'll join them." He finished and increased his pace.

Bella held her breath as the man approached her. She could see his face a little, then someone started tapping her, pulling her away from the man. The man kept approaching her. Just a little---- Someone pulled her again. A little please!! She felt the pull again. Just a little and she would see his face.

"Just a little, please!" She screamed as she woke up, her heart pounding. She was covered in sweat and she was breathing heavily.

"What's wrong?" Someone said, concern seeping through his voice.

She looked up to find Max looking at her, his eyebrows furrowed with worry.

"It's nothing. I just had a bad dream. That's all." She smiled at him. "Thank you sir."

"Sir?" He frowned. "I've told you to forget the honorifics when we are alone."

"You're still my superior. So I have to do that if we are at work. That doesn't mean you're still not my best friend."

"Aaah, I've heard you ma'am." Both of them laughed.

Max studied his friend's face closely, he realized she looked worse that he had first thought. He had never seen her so pale like this.

"Are you sure you're alright." He asked her.

'No. I really am fine. Just a little bit tired."

"You lost a hell of a kit if weight." He looked concern about her health, and Bella could only pretend to smile.

"If you're sick, you know you don't have to come to work right?"

"I'm not sick though." Then she thought about it for a minute. She was feeling a slight ache in her head. "Maybe a little."

"You see! You have to go home and rest. Take a break. You can take tomorrow off okay?"

"I don't think I ----"

He cut her off. "I don't want to hear anything." He made himself clear, and Bella knew better to argue with him.

Reluctantly, she left work and went straight home. Once at home, she felt so tired that she immediately slept off.

The next day, she woke up tired again. Her head was seriously banging and she had trouble walking. What could be wrong with her? She wondered as she found her way to the pack's hospital.

Bella sat in the hospital room, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. The doctor had just checked and examined her body. He had taken some body samples for test, so she was waiting for the test result.

Few minutes later, the doctor came in bearing the test result in his hand. He beamed at Bella. "Congratulations, ma'am"

"Huh? On what?" Bella frowned in confusion.

"You are pregnant. You are two weeks gone." He announced.

"What!?" Bella shouted as she snatched the test results from the doctor's hand.
