Nightmares

Aubrey's POV

We were in front of a bungalow, surrounded by similar houses. The key difference was that it was a red brick wall. "What is this place?" I asked.

" A human wolf community."

What? I turned towards him. "These people know that there are wolves here?" I asked. How was that even possible? Was I the only one not seeing the obvious?

" The wolves are in a pact with the human government. We keep them safe and they remain silent about our existence. The only problem is that they are not allowed to walk around at night. Curfew begins at 10 pm." He said.

I looked around the quiet community. It could pass for an estate. " So, anyone could be a wolf. How can I tell humans apart?" I asked.

Jackson shrugged. "I wouldn't know that because I am a wolf. I know them through their smell." He replied.

I looked around. " Are you sure that I will be safe here?" I asked and he nodded. I guess it would be difficult to make friends. " Are visitors allowed here?" I asked.
