Charlie's POV

"I want that doll," I blurted out when I recognized who the man before me was.

He's my father and I want to know if he would recognize me. I fought my urge to jump on him and wrap my arms around him as I tell how much I miss him and how I always dreamed of meeting him.

The fact that he's standing inches away from me and I can't do anything but to pretend that he's a stranger made my heart shatter into pieces.

He smiled amusingly and gave me a pointed look. His gaze reminded me of Charles's look when he heard something funny.

"You want this doll?" He asked teasingly.

"Yes," I answered curtly and reached for the doll he's holding, but he moved his hand away from my reach.

"I saw this doll first," he argued.

"No, I did. I saw it first and you only touched it first." If he's stubborn, then I'm much stubborn.

He opened his mouth, but before he could speak Charles interrupted him.
