Chapter 45: A Drastic Decision

"Sel, sometimes Richard is explosive, but deep down he's a good person" Lilian not only puts cloths over my lips that were swollen from Richard's slap, but softens her brother's attitudes.

"Sometimes? Because it's the first time I've seen him like that, and the impression I get is that he's been hiding under dry leaves all this time and then biting me like a snake."

Having nothing new to argue in Richard's favor, Lilian cranes her head with a pitying expression that I hate them to have of me.

"Don't worry Lilian, if I survived a fall from the cliff as a child, it won't be a slap to bring me down" I remove the cloth wet with warm water from her hand, so that I can be the one to improve my bruise.

" Did you fall? And how can you not have a scratch? A broken leg or arm?"

She is not very convinced.

"Because my mother asked the guardians to give me my life back. Then I would serve their purposes."
