Little Victories.

“You know what I hate about these victories?” Eric asked.

She looked up at him in confusion. “No...”

“That I am unable to rub them in Henry and Adrian’s faces.” He replied, twirling around his chair. “I want to know what they are thinking. I want to see the sadness in their eyes when they read the news about them every morning. I want to see fearless Adrian trembling in fear of the unknown, unsure of what would get him first, the cops, the media or the mafia...” He laughed heartily. “Adrian was too easy.”

Angela placed her legs on the table, every move of hers was calculated. Eric was transfixed, lost in the sight of her bare legs, accentuated by the heels and mini skirt she had on. “I was convinced Adrian had skeletons in his closet.” She held his gaze. “He was too wary for a guy who had nothing to hide.”

Eric’s smile widened. “It is weird but I want to live with them...” He chuckled. “I want to see the pain in their eyes, I want to see them angry...” He paused then shook his head. “
