Through the gray clouds, moonlight reluctantly made its way, slightly illuminating the roofs of houses. The wind made a slight noise, hitting the shaggy body, seeping through the developing strands of wool, rushed further - the wind is generally difficult to surprise with something. With light leaps, Alud ran along the roofs of houses, not paying attention to obstacles, deftly jumping over attics, in which the pigeons did not even have time to be frightened. Dynamics was present not only in movements, but also in thoughts.

- What is this? Where is everything that once was? They made cities, now hide from these flawed people. And those vampires, motherfucking suckers! - the werewolf was so immersed in his thoughts that sometimes he simply demolished obstacles, not noticing them on the way, then the brickwork squinted, and here you have to re-erect the scaffolding.

- Absolutely crazy, we need to find these reptiles, if Brook-ta-man said that they are not local, then they hang out in the neutral zone, I'll catch one. Alud stopped abruptly at the edge of the roof, his gaze darting down.

- Oh, who do I see, bum, I'm just hungry. His eyes were slightly bloodshot, his nose eagerly absorbing the surrounding smell.

A black raven, in the distance, carefully looked at the werewolf, following his every movement with his cold eyes, catching glare from the mean light of the moon. Alud disappeared, jumping down from the building. The raven looked a couple more moments in that direction, and then spread its shiny wings, and now it is already flying over the houses, catching the wind and city sounds. Several black feathers slowly floated towards the spot where he had just been sitting. Here they will lie motionless and bored, until the first gust of wind, and who knows what fate awaits them.

Having flown the high-rise quarters of the city, the bird rushed towards an abandoned construction site on the outskirts. A gray, unremarkable structure, there are many such buildings in a city like this. The cracked walls, which have long lost their integrity, completely disappeared under a layer of advancing vegetation and graffiti of teenagers who once visited here. The building had long been abandoned, and few people were interested in it, except for the rats and stray dogs that occasionally wandered here, hiding from the rain. There, on the wreckage of the slab, sat a man. It was a man who appeared to be in his thirties. His appearance evoked inner anxiety. Black clothes emphasized the gloomy image. Her dark hair, falling to her shoulders, barely swayed in the wind that blew through every chink. The face was absolutely white, it stood out like a bright spot from the general environment. Two dark vertical stripes, black in color, descended from the forehead. ending on the cheeks, the lips also had a continuation in the form of horizontal stripes coming out of the black lips. A raven quickly and fussily landed on the outstretched arm, not at all embarrassed, dug its claws into the sleeve. With a clumsy gait, he climbed onto his shoulder, digging his sharp claws in even harder to hold on.

“Is that him?” Clan leader - Alud? - The man asked the raven. The bird nodded silently.

- Great. What are others? Did you find your goals? - Raven shook his head in confusion, waited a couple of seconds and made a quiet gurgling sound, absolutely ugly, but deep and varied.

- It's clear. So it's not that easy, you say. All right, fly and tell the others where that vampire is. I'm a werewolf. - Raven nodded understandingly, and heavily flapping his wings, rushed somewhere away from the construction site. The man stood up, straightened his shoulders and looking to the side with an empty look, from where the bird had flown, said:

“Let the hunt begin for our damned souls.”

Next to the garbage can, in a torn jacket and a knitted hat that had lost its former appearance, a man was snoring peacefully, muttering something under his breath. A disheveled and dirty face, long overgrown with tangled hair, was adorned with a bruise under his right eye. A couple of scratches on the nose added to the overall picture of a not entirely successful life. An old blanket and a couple of newspapers covered him, in his hands a tightly squeezed bottle of unfinished alcohol. The huge body of Alud bent over the sleeping man, he watched the future victim with interest. The air hissed out of his mighty lungs, carrying with him small clouds of steam, viscous saliva accumulated in the slightly open mouth, the pupils narrowed. I wonder what he would say if he knew that he was about to die and be eaten? The werewolf thought. Curiosity dulled the hunger a little. The werewolf squatted down to be closer to the homeless, clawed hand, covered with thick fur shoved him lightly. The homeless man muttered something unintelligible, reluctantly tossing and turning and slowly opening his eyes. The brain can not return to normal for twenty minutes in a normal situation. Here, opening his eyes, the dirty man found a huge spot in front of him, his eyes focused, the blackness gradually turned into a huge humanoid dog. The brain is looking for the simplest in the first moment:

- It's a dream, I drank too much yesterday. Well, the answer is found, you can continue to sleep.

- Hey, you. Wake up already. I'm not going to sign up here. A rough, animal-like voice sounded. A clear sense of reality instantly cleared the sleeper's mind, he opened his eyes, but this time his vision was no longer clouded by the remnants of sleep. Momentary horror shivered through the body, goosebumps like a sea tide swept down the back. Thoughts rushed through my head like a hurricane, leaving behind only questions and animal fear. The whole body was numb, only the tongue could squeeze out two words:

- Who are you? - The first question is to at least slightly drive away the growing fear - the unknown - "people are afraid of what they do not understand." The werewolf chuckled slightly. Slightly bringing his muzzle closer, for greater expressiveness, he withstood an agonizing pause and spoke very calmly and slowly.

“Man, everything doesn’t matter now, you only need to know one thing, you will die now, I am hungry, and you are my food. I'm wondering what do you say to that?

Silence, tearing the ears with a pulsating ringing and a hum in the head slowly forcing severe dizziness. Thoughts whirled, the whole life flashed before my eyes, like an old film. The man understood one thing very clearly, that in front of him was some kind of evil that wants to take his life, this evil is absolute and, in his opinion, is not right. Requests to leave life were torn on the tongue, a bunch of well-founded arguments in favor of being right. From lips cracked by the wind, broke:

Don't kill me, I'm just a tramp. - The words trembled - I, I didn’t do anyone any harm, I, I ...

There was clear disappointment in the werewolf's eyes. From a powerful blow, fresh blood sprinkled the garbage can, the head, flying off the shoulders, rolled along the dirty asphalt, leaving behind a bloody trail, uneven and intermittent. There was an expression of horror on his face. The werewolf snorted contemptuously and greedily pounced on the body that had settled under its own weight. Greedy champing and the sound of breaking bones filled this deserted nook.

- Another whiner. Alud thought as he once again plunged his bloody muzzle into the dead body.
