Chapter 58 Drop Your Nice Act

"Frederick didn't mean it. He misunderstood you, so stop arguing with him." The frustration was overwhelming for Benjamin, who had chased after Grace and pulled at her arm.

Grace snatched her arm away. "How nice of you to speak for your friend, Mr. Hawkins. What right do you have to tell me to stop?"

Benjamin glanced at Zoey and Emily behind Grace, both of whom were giving him hostile looks.

"Can't you be a bigger person and let us talk nicely as friends?"

A smile slowly formed on Grace's lips, her narrowing eyes devoid of emotion. "You're an ex who is dead to me, not some friend."

While Benjamin had heard such a rejection before, he still couldn't deal with it calmly.

He said curtly, "The apology statement will be released tomorrow morning. I will make him take down the post later."

"Stop being hypocritical. They're treating me like this because you allowed them to, didn't you?"

"Me?" Benjamin frowned deeply, obviously disagreeing with her words.
