But the moment I looked up the smile that was playing on my lips vanished within few seconds as my baby was in the doctor's arms but it was not crying.

The door opened, two nurses left the room while Peter and Lily joined us. The color of their faces drained as they saw the limp body of the baby lying in the arms of the doctor. The doctor was looking tensed while checking the baby. She pinched it but the baby didn't respond in any way.
