Chapter 50: Unresolved

"Are you alright?" Caius pondered when I became silent, staring at the rose tattoo. "What is that? When did you have that?" He asked warily when he noticed.

"I'll explain when we get back." I muttered to him and turned to Amaris who was still dazed staring at his crow. "D-Do you think you could change it back?" I asked him hesitantly, knowing that it was my fault.

"I'll try. But are you sure you didn't do anything?" He wanted to confirm. The way he squinted his eyes at me was suspecting. "Never mind." He shook his head and turned to his crow.

"You're not accusing Nemiah just now, are you?" Caius scowled at him, being on his protective gesture again.

"I didn't. So calm down and let me work on this." He asked Caius to shut up. He gently placed his hand to his crow's feathers and closed his eyes, murmuring some enchantment.
