"Right this way Mr and Mrs Hilton" Daniel, Arianna's manager smiled formally at the duo as he led them to Arianna's office.

Anne beamed with excitement, ready to meet the world renowned chef whilst Lucas was anything but interested at this meeting.

For someone whom they had to beg to meet, he was not in anyway excited to meet her. It spoke alot about her personality to him.

But Anne wanted to hear nothing of that sort. All that mattered to her was climbing the social ladder of the society. She was ready to lick the soles of the vague chef if it will get her to be the talk of the media.

Somehow it saddened Lucas' heart alot that Anne did not prioritise family ties the way Arianna did.

And this fault of hers came to limelight with the sudden illness of his mother.

Anne never liked to go see the poor women on her sick bed. Lucas would always force her to go and even when she went there, her face would be disconcerted and permeated with disgust at how nauseating the entire room felt.
