Chapter 34: Confession

Lisa came to my door, she stood watching the pies on the table and left without a word.

I annoyed him. I turned to the tray and shook my head before slumping into my bed.

In less than thirty minutes, Lisa walked in without knocking.

"Mr. Jason is nowhere to be found." She said weakly.

"What?" I sat up quickly trying to overcome my headache. "What do you mean by what you have just said, Lisa?"

"Oscar will have a better explanation, Mrs. Jasmine, he was the one who told me about it."

She carried a sad face and walked away sobbing.

I quickly reached out for my cell phone. This was going to be my first time dialing my husband's code.

I tried to reach him severally all to no avail. I found Oscar seated in the living room, his face buried in his palms.

"Hello Oscar, how about your boss?"

"He drove himself out for the first time today, he said we should not look for him."
