Chapter 64: In need of a gun

I stretched out to pull it to myself when a strange voice spoke out,

"Mrs. Jasmine? You should come out immediately, Mr. Jason is now home and I think his would-be wife is coming in with him too."

It was Lisa's voice! I heaved a sigh of relief.

I got out of bed and in a few seconds, I found myself in Lisa's room panting.

One thing that mattered was the car key in my hand. The feeling of being a car owner seemed wonderful.

"Mrs. Jasmine you'll have to be a little patient with me please, I should go out in case my service is needed in the guest room."

"You have no problem, Lisa."

I sipped my glass of juice while waiting. There were silly sounds emitting from nowhere, the entire place was noisy and I wondered about who was actually screaming.

Well, it shouldn't be my business.

Lisa returned a few minutes later and told me that she'd just invited the gatekeepers to lunch and that I was free to go.

Yes, she meant that I could sneak out without being caught. Awesome!
