I don't even know why I bothered to explain the incident that happened the night before to her.

She could have gone on imagining me as a monster that I wanted her to picture me as and everything would have been fine but when I saw her face descending from the stairs as she was coming down to join me for breakfast it was really bad on my appetite and after contemplating it between a few mouthfuls I decided that I wasn't really at loss if I told her that she was supposed to be grateful to me.

At least that was what I thought before but now looking back on it it was making me look like some kind of knight in shining armor and I wanted to be the horrible monster for her because I'm not the man that will save her

On other things, now I just had to patiently sit back and allow the information about the party to circulate around and around until it reached the ears of her bastard father that she was in my custody then I'll see what more he makes on this chess table called li
