Silent Treatment

Iris POV

The doctor took my wrist and pressed it softly; the coldness of his palms sending little jolts of electricity to my brain as he checked my throbbing pulse, then he took a pen and noted something's down.

My eyes wandered around, and it fixated on Arthur as he sat across the room looking sheepishly.

His mind was not in the room, and he just sat down; staring emptily at the space in the ward.

There was something I still couldn't get my mind around about him today.

The doctor took out a pocket flashlight, flashed it at my left eye, then stood up and motioned to him; they both stepped out of the room.

After some time, one of the nurses who had attended to me earlier came to the ward and detached the IV drip bag, she then asked me to follow her into the reception.

As I followed her, I paid attention to the nurse and I subconsciously wished I had her body type; full breasts, a petite athletic body frame that fitted into the nurse's uniform and a skin that had the color of snow.
