Chapter Thirty Four

He got up and ran to the basement. He looked at Louis and he could tell that she wasn’t in her body, not anymore. She was long gone in whatever meditation she was doing

“Get Louis back! We have to find her fast!” Jared said to Xavier

“I don’t think you should” Xavier said to him

“What do you mean? I shouldn’t go after Alice? Are you serious? What the hell, Xavier? You know what is out there and you don’t want me to look for her? Send out all our men. Nobody sleeps until we find her!” Jared said to Xavier

He walked out and he headed for his car. He drove round the valley and didn’t find her. It was evening when he returned to the house, tried and drained. He dropped on the sofa when Xavier walked into the living room

“Let me guess. You didn’t find her” Xavier said to him

“I checked everywhere. She couldn’t have gotten far on foot yet I didn’t find her. I couldn’t even use our mate bond to find her. I can’t feel her anymore” Jared said to him
