Brett felt hurt by the news he heard about Naya’s rebellion in jail. No matter how many times he tried organizing a meeting with him, the jailor found one reason or more not to help him.

“She is a dangerous beast,” the jailer said. “We cannot risk a reputable man like you seeing such a prisoner.”
