CHAPTER FOUR
JEN POV,
A few days passed well until I learned of the news. I was watching YouTube news about me, but it wasn't the worst part; the worst part was the comments. Hell yea... All of them were about me, such as criticizing my beauty or my idiocy, but why only me? What about that psycho man, I mean?
I snatched out of my thoughts at Vic's call, "Vic, you have amazing timing. So, is there a specific reason?" I exploded.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS, GIRL?" she yelled.
"Vic, now what this is supposed to mean?" I pretended to be stupid.
"Babe, you're all over the Internet, news, YouTube, and soon everywhere," she exclaimed, excitedly.
"So, what is it that has you so riled up? I'm dying here, and my one and only best buddy is making jokes about me. Great Vic!" I remarked sarcastically.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry, happy now? But what are you going to do about it now?"
"I'm not sure. Also, please quit bothering me; I'm already depressed, so I'm going to hang up the phone, bye." I said as I hung up the phone.
Okay, Jennifer, you're not going anywhere outside for a few days because of this scandal. Yeah, that's the best thing to do right now, I reasoned, and I spent virtually the whole day sitting, cleaning, and eating. A few days went by with nothing happening.
Before sleeping, I consoled myself by telling myself that everything will be okay tomorrow and that it would undoubtedly be the best day of my life. But I think that was the worst lie I've ever told. Because...
The next morning, I awoke to a tremendous thump on my room's door, and as I opened it, I said, "We're at it again. What are you doing at my door at this hour of the morning, Vic?"
I was yawning when she remarked, "I'm going outside for breakfast, and I was wondering if you wanted to join."
"No, I don't want to," I responded, rubbing my eyes to keep them awake.
"Come on, Jen, how long have you been considering locking yourself in this one room? Come on, let's walk outside and enjoy breakfast with me," she murmured, her eyes concerned.
"Okay, okay! fine, let's go, but first let me change my outfit," I remarked as I began walking towards the bathroom to take a bath and change my clothes.
Later, we both walked to the local restaurant and ordered breakfast. As we were eating, a man came in our direction and stood in front of me, asking, "Are you, Mrs. Jennifer Oxford?"
"Amm... I am, but do I know who you are?" I questioned him as well.
Rather than responding, he added, "Miss, come with me, the boss wants to see you."
But when I refused to accompany him and inquired who his boss was, he suddenly grabbed my hand hard and began dragging me towards his automobile, which was, if I'm viewing things correctly, the fuck... It was Lamborghini. I was taken aback and began to wonder who his crazy boss was.
I tried everything I could to get my hand out of his powerful grip, but nothing happened because he was too strong as my opponent. Vic was yelling my name and pleading for aid when everything went black, possibly because I passed out.
I opened my eyes to find myself in a king-sized bed. It was a spacious room that was fully equipped in a modern manner. I was glancing about when a piercing voice interrupted my thoughts with, "you're awake?"
I was taken aback as I turned in the direction of that speaker; I had no idea what was going on or why I was in his room. What exactly does he expect from me?
"Are you done staring?" he asked, smirking. At this point, I summoned all my confidence and climbed out of bed, standing in front of him, and asking, "Why am I here, what do you want, and why did you want to see me?"
"Relax, darling; we've got a long journey ahead of us, so what's the rush?" He said this as he began to walk towards me. I took a step back till my back touched the solid wall.
He put his hands on both sides of my body, making it impossible for me to run. I began to feel frightened. "What are you doing?" I asked. Instead of responding, he neared his face to my ear. I can feel his warm breath on my ear from when he abruptly whispered, "It's only the beginning, darling, so just wait and watch because you have a long journey ahead of you and nothing you can do about it. Do you know why?"
He paused for a few seconds before continuing, "Because you're the cause of all this," and smiled cruelly.
I sensed horror and terror because his personality was revealing everything about him. I was thinking about what he had just said when he moved his face in front of mine and his eyes were as icy as ice. He gently grasped my arm and pinched it; I was ready to say anything but was cut off because he pushed me to the bed and exited the room.
When he was gone, I walked closer to the door and attempted to open it, but it was locked. I screamed for rescue, but it was all for naught. I was at a loss on what to do because I didn't even have my phone with me, but perhaps he did.
CHAPTER FIVE WILLIAM POV, I was lounging on the couch in my penthouse when my father called. "Yes, father?" I picked up the phone, thinking, "Here we go again." "Home right now," he said as he hung up the phone. Now I was at my parents' house, and my father was yelling at me until he tossed the newspaper in my face and asked, "Who's that girl?" "Wow, that was quick," was the only thing that came out of my mouth. "Handle this filth or I'll take over your position as CEO of a corporation. Understand?" I exited the house after saying, "Understood." It was the first time my father had chastised me, and I couldn't afford it. I had virtually spent half of my life establishing this company, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing what I had now. I dialed my assistant's number and asked her for information on that goddamn girl. And when I found out everything I could

I was wondering what are these papers about, what to do with me, and why I have to sign them.I asked, "what's written in these papers and why I have to sign them?""Just take your time babe, and read them on your own," he said and went out of the room but this time he didn't lock the door.I picked up the papers from the floor and for some reason, I had the feeling my fate was literally typed out for me on these sheets of paper.Instead of torturing myself by thinking about what could be typed out, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before looking at the papers.______________________________________________P
CHAPTER SEVEN "Vic? Don't touch her, you motherfuckers, leave her alone. Keep your filthy hands away from her "I was yelling. Vic was knocked out. "Now, now, now... What are you going to do, sign the papers or lose your friend?" "Just leave her alone, I'll do whatever you say," were the only words that came out of my mouth. "Take her back to her apartment and don't tell her anything about today; pretend like nothing happened," he told his men as he led Vic away unconscious. "Now listen to me, and listen very carefully, Jennifer Oxford; you're going to do what I'm telling you to do, or you're going to lose the one and only thing you hold dear to your heart." With that, he handed the papers over to me for the final review, but time was running out and I didn't want him around, so I asked for a pen. I slammed the papers on the table behind him after signing them. "I need some alone time in my own apartmen
CHAPTER EIGHT "No! I can't take it, and it's yours; if you don't wear it, you might catch a cold, which I don't want." I told him standingand takingoff his jacket, but his hand stopped me. "No, you need it more than I do, and by the way, if I don't do it, I won't be considered a gentleman," he smirked. "Thank you," was all I could say in response. "No problem, and if you don't mind my asking, why are you sitting by yourself in the middle of the night in this pouring rain?" "Umm..." I thought for a moment before telling him. Should I tell him or keep it a secret? After all, he's a nice guy, and what harm can it do if I tell him? Okay, not the entire story. Maybe a little bit won't hurt much, and he comes from a wealthy family, so he might be able to assist me in dealing with this situation. Yeah... Right now, it's the best situation. I was about to tell him when my inner voice interrupted me. Ar
CHAPTER NINE WILLIAM POV, When she walked away, I was overjoyed with my victory. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be at first, but she eventually accepted her defeat; now she'll never try to mess up my business again and will never forget her place, "Tch,tch, tch...little kitty." I called Roman and told him to set up a press conference as soon as possible because I just wanted to put an end to all the scandals surrounding me and see my adversary defeated, huh they wanted to play with fire. Okay, now I'll show them the true fire that they all awoke in me. JENNIFER POV, "JENNIFER!!" I heard Vic's voice, and she was pounding on my door like a lunatic. I groan to myself and roll out of my tiny bed, which wasn't as comfortable as a king-sized bed. "JENNIFER," she said once more. I yelled, "Coming!" As soon as I opened the door, she jumped on me and b

Once it opened Edward strolled in as if he owned the place, which he could probably have done and I follow him not before giving the security man a brief smile. He smiled back and then closed the door behind us once we had entered the hotel. The inside was just as nice as the outside, there was a huge hallway with paintings and statues and had a long red carpet leading down it.There was nobody in this area so I assumed that they would be where the faint violin was playing."Come." Edward gestured for me to follow him and I quickly complied, hurriedly walking with him while trying hard not to fall in these heels.Edward turned
"What can I get you both, beautiful ladies?" he asked politely with a smile as he threw the white cloth he held over his shoulder in a dramatic way. A strand of black mixed with blonde hair had fallen onto his face at the same time. "Two glasses of red wine and two shots of tequila," Elena smirked as she ordered and winked her eyes in the direction of the bartender. The bartender laughed and nodded his head in agreement as he said, "Coming up right now." "In all honesty, all I'd like is a glass of water, thank you," I started to speak, but Elena cut me off by placing her hand on my mouth and heaving an audible sigh. "Ignore her," she said with a smile to the bartender before turning her glare on me, "Loosen up a little! You won't be drunk if you just have one shot and a glass of wine, girl "She said with a sly grin on her face and a wink. I looked at her with a frown and told her in all candor that I didn't particularly enjoy alcohol and that it also didn't go well with my body.
CHAPTER TWELVE I was laughing and stumbling as I walked, and I noticed that Elena had a look of nervousness on her face, but I couldn't place the source of her anxiety. But I didn't stop walking; instead, I continued on until I ran into something solid and tough. "No, come on, it's fin... mph," I don't know who I bumped into, but I murmured just before it happened. I could barely make out Elena's voice as she tried to hold back the other words but I heard her say "Oh dear." I looked up to determine whose chest it was that I had inadvertently bumped into in order to avoid further inconvenience. When I looked up and saw William, I immediately started laughing, which caused him to look at me in a perplexed manner. At that moment, I was completely out of my mind, and said, "William, you are too handsome, and every girl wants to be with you but why you selected me instead," I pinched his cheeks again and asked, "Do you love me this much that you select me in all of them?" while gigglin
